How to Make Minor Adjustments to a Precision Leveler

Proper minor adjustments are key to ensuring a precision leveler performs well. Here’s how to do it based on sheet conditions:
  1. Feed the sheet into the leveler from the pull roll side. After it exits, check flatness and adjust as needed.
  2. If the sheet curls upward: Turn the rear handwheel upward 1–2 turns.
  3. If the sheet bends downward: Turn the rear handwheel downward 1–2 turns.
  4. If the sheet curls upward horizontally: Adjust the upper backup roll bolts—turn the left/right bolts downward 1–2 turns, and loosen the middle bolts upward 1–2 turns.
  5. If the sheet bends downward horizontally: Adjust the upper backup roll bolts—turn the left/right bolts upward 1–2 turns, and loosen the middle bolts downward 1–2 turns.

Adjust based on specific sheet conditions for optimal results.
