Proper minor adjustments are key to ensuring a precision leveler performs well. Here’s how to do it based on sheet conditions:
-
Feed the sheet into the leveler from the pull roll side. After it exits, check flatness and adjust as needed.
-
If the sheet curls upward: Turn the rear handwheel upward 1–2 turns.
-
If the sheet bends downward: Turn the rear handwheel downward 1–2 turns.
-
If the sheet curls upward horizontally: Adjust the upper backup roll bolts—turn the left/right bolts downward 1–2 turns, and loosen the middle bolts upward 1–2 turns.
-
If the sheet bends downward horizontally: Adjust the upper backup roll bolts—turn the left/right bolts upward 1–2 turns, and loosen the middle bolts downward 1–2 turns.
Adjust based on specific sheet conditions for optimal results.
